The Diagram Builder gives your team a visual, drag-and-drop workspace to design event layouts using your property's real floor plans. Build a boardroom setup for 20 or a gala for 600, then save it, share it, and reuse it.
Create a New Diagram
- Select Diagrams from the Diagramming section in your left navigation.
- Select + New > Create Diagram. The Diagram Builder opens with a guided four-step flow: Space, Diagram, Settings, and Share.
- In Step 1, choose the Space you want to design in. Once you select a Space, your diagram is saved immediately and named after the Space by default. Click the pencil icon next to the name to rename it at any time.
Design Your Layout
Step 2 (Diagram) is your design canvas. A toolbar gives you access to furniture and layout elements. Use these tools to build your event configuration:
- Drag and drop furniture items (chairs, tables, staging) directly onto the floor plan
- Choose from preset layout templates like Classroom, Cabaret, and Round configurations
- Resize, rotate, and reposition items to match your client's requirements
- View real-time counts for tables and chairs as you work
The canvas shows dimensions in real-world measurements, so you can verify spacing and confirm the layout works for the actual room.
Choose Settings and Share
In Step 3 (Settings), set viewer access for your diagram:
- Read-only (default) lets clients explore the layout interactively without making changes
- Editable lets the recipient rearrange the layout directly, which is useful when a client wants to co-plan their own configuration
In Step 4 (Share), copy the shareable link to send to your client. You can also share, duplicate, or update viewer access later from the Diagrams page. See Manage Diagrams, Control Sharing, and Keep Furniture & Decor Current for details.
Edit an Existing Diagram
To update a diagram you've already created:
- Navigate to the Diagrams page.
- Click the three-dot menu (…) on the diagram and select Edit to reopen it in the Diagram Builder.
- Make your changes. Because your diagram is already saved, updates apply to the same diagram.
When you edit a diagram, the updated version replaces the previous one everywhere it's used, including any Tours it's been added to. Anyone with a shared link automatically sees the latest version.
Good to know: Edits apply in place, so there's no need to re-share links or update Tours after making changes. If you'd like to keep the original layout and create a variation, duplicate the diagram from the Diagrams page first.
If Something Goes Wrong
If a diagram doesn't load when you open it, an error message appears with a retry option. You won't need to leave and come back; just click retry from the same screen.
