Make the most of your Marriott brand website by adding immersive virtual tours that help guests and planners explore your property before they book. This guide shows you how to integrate your tours into your Overview, Accommodations, and Events pages using the Visiting Media platform.
Why Add Virtual Tours to Your Marriott Website
Virtual tours on your brand website create powerful first impressions and help you stand out from the competition:
- Drive more bookings: Interactive content keeps visitors exploring longer and builds excitement about your property
- Save time on follow-ups: Tours answer initial questions visually, reducing back-and-forth with prospects
- Boost room upsells: Realistic previews of premium rooms and suites increase confidence in higher-tier bookings
- Generate qualified leads: Help visitors visualize their experience and turn casual browsers into motivated planners
Product tiers: These integrations work with Plus and Pro tiers of the Visiting Media platform.

If you have Plus tier:
- Log into your Visiting Media platform account
- Navigate to your Asset Library
- Select the best single immersive asset for the page:
- Overview Page: Aerial 360° or enhanced 3D tour of property

If you have Pro tier:
- Log into your Visiting Media platform account

- Name your tour clearly (examples below)
- Open tour settings and configure:
- Menus: Hidden
- Property Info Card: Disabled
- Digital Business Card: Disabled
- Navigate to Share and copy the URL in the Link and QR Code section.
Suggested custom tour names:
- Distribution - Marriott Website - Overview Page
- Distribution - Marriott Website - Accommodations Page
- Distribution - Marriott Website - Meetings & Events Page
Step 2: Add Your Tour to Your Marriott Website
You have two options for adding your tour link:
Option 1: Work with Your MDS Representative
If you have a Marriott Digital Services (MDS) representative, simply email your tour link to them and they'll handle the integration. You can request a virtual tour banner if you have a MDS rep.
Option 2: Add It Yourself via Marriott Product Catalog
If you don't have an MDS representative:
- Go to the Marriott Product Catalog
- Enter your hotel's MARSHA code in "Property Search"
- Navigate: Sales Messages > Alerts, Messages & Social > Property Messages > + Add
- Under "Hotel Message Type," select the relevant page/section:
- Overview
- Accommodations
- Meetings & Events
- Fill in the required fields:
- Title: (e.g., "Explore Our Property")
- Description: Brief explanation of what visitors will see
- Start Date: When you want the tour to appear
- End Date: Maximum 1 year (must be renewed annually)
- Link Title: (e.g., "Take a Virtual Tour")
- Link Path: Paste your tour URL here
- Click Save to submit your request
Best Practices for Integration
Use popup modals when possible: This keeps visitors on your website and ensures faster load times. Avoid opening tours in new tabs or embedding directly on the page.
Use consistent call-to-action language: Phrases like "Take a Virtual Tour" clearly indicate interactivity and set visitor expectations.
Keep your tours updated: End dates are limited to one year maximum—set a reminder to renew your tours annually so they don't disappear from your site.
Match content to the page: Choose assets that align with what visitors expect to see on each specific page (overview content for Overview, rooms for Accommodations, etc.).
Make Sure Your Tours Load Properly
To ensure your tours load quickly and work smoothly on your website, share this list of approved domains with your IT team. This prevents network filters from blocking or slowing down your immersive experiences:
Full allowlist: View complete list of recommended domains
Recommended Content Types
Different content types work better for different purposes:
| Content Type | Why It Works |
| Enhanced 3D Models | Let guests and planners "walk through" spaces virtually—ideal for suites and meeting spaces |
| 360° Photos | Offer highly realistic, detailed views of rooms, spaces, and setups |
| Aerial 360° Tours | Provide context with immersive views of the full property and surrounding area |
| CGI Setups | Visualize event layouts without staging rooms during photoshoots |
| Video Productions | Engage audiences with dynamic walkthroughs and welcome messages |
| Nearby Attraction Tours | Highlight local destinations that support leisure and group business |
Troubleshooting Common Issues
My tour link isn't working:
- Double-check that you copied the complete URL
- Verify your tour is not in draft mode (Pro tier)
- Confirm the tour settings are configured correctly (menus hidden, cards disabled)
My tour hasn't appeared on my website yet:
- Allow up to 2 business days for changes to appear after submitting through the Product Catalog
- Verify your start date hasn't been set in the future
- Check that your end date hasn't already passed
My tour is loading slowly:
- Work with IT to confirm approved domains are allowlisted
- Consider using a popup modal instead of direct embedding
- Test your tour link in a different browser to rule out browser-specific issues
I need to update my tour:
- For Pro tier: Edit your existing tour in the Builder, changes appear immediately
- For Plus tier: Replace the asset link following the same steps above
- Remember to update the link in the Marriott Product Catalog if the URL changed
